When a student in college, Dr. S.P.S. Bakshi was often told by his father that we were lacking in quality manufacturing, education and research. About 40 years back when Dr Bakshi started practise he was disturbed the way biochemic tablets were made and packed for market sale. From there the thought delved why not start quality manufacturing at Bakson. It was a humble beginning from a small lab but quality was of prime concern.
1983: Foundation stone laid in the name of Bakson Homoeo Pharmacy Pvt. Ltd in Delhi. Started for the first time with Homoeopathic shampoos by the brand name, “SUNNY” . Soon oils and conditioners were also added to the kitty.
1986: Bakson entered into production of generics both Mother Tinctures and Dilutions.
1989: Bakson manufacturing was registered in the name of Bakson Drugs & Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd., Delhi
1991: Bakson ventured into production of combination homoeopathic medicines as OTC products. This includes some of its most well accepted brands like RHEUM AID, ALLER AID, TONSIL AID, FORMULA D etc
1998: Bakson expanded its manufacturing capacity by shifting to Himachal and started a unit at Parwanoo
2001: Start of Pet range i.e. Animal care products of Bakson
2001: Expansion of Bakson Chain of Homoeopathic clinics
2002: Bakson Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital was started at Gretaer Noida, U.P.
2004: Another unit was initiated at Shillu in Haimachal Pradesh to cater to market demand. USFDA approval for our Bakson products was received.
2007: GMP and ISO certification for Shillu kala unit
2010: A unit at Roorkee (Uttarakhand ) was started with state-of-the-art production facilities as per GMP standards
2011: GMP certification for Roorkee plant
2016: Starting of independent cosmetics’ manufacturing plant at Parwanoo
2019: ISO 9001:2015 certification
2020: Expansion of Digital marketing
2022: Launch of veterinary division
