Avena sativa: Nervous exhaustion, sexual debility, sleeplessness especially of alcoholics. Best tonic for debility after exhausting diseases. It has a selective action on brain and nervous system favourably influencing their nutritive function. The nutrient contents include Vitamin B, C & E besides Iron, Calcium & Copper.

Cinchona officinalis: Debility from exhausting discharges, from loss of vital fluids, together with nervous erethism.

Ginseng: Acts on the lower part of the spinal cord. Paralytic weakness. Vertigo. Weakness of genital organs.

Hydrastis canadensis: Acts in old, easily tired people, cachetic individuals with great debility, weak muscular power, poor digestion, obstinate constipation and depressed mind. Contains Vitamin C which improves immune function.

Alfalfa: Neuraesthenia, nervousness, Insomnia, indigestion. Favourably influences nutrition, toning up appetite and digestion resulting in greatly improved mental and physical vigor with gain in weight. It is rich in Vitamins A, B, C, D, E and minerals namely Calcium, Copper, Phosphorus.

Acidum formicum: Reduces chronic muscular pains. It increases muscular strength and resistance to fatigue. Makes one stronger and fit.

Action of Ingredients:

Ammonium brom.- Indicated in sleeplessness.

Avena sat.- Sleeplessness, especially of alcoholics. Bad effects of Morphine habit. Nervous states of many female troubles.

Chamomilla- Drowsiness with moaning, weeping and wailing during sleep; anxious, frightened dreams with half-open eyes.

Kalium phos.- Marked disturbance of the sympathetic nervous system. Conditions arising from want of nerve power, neurasthenia, mental and physical depression.

Humulus lup.- Drowsy during the day. Sopor. Giddiness and stupefaction.

Ignatia amara- Jerking of limbs on going to sleep. Insomnia from grief, cares, with itching of arms and violent yawning. Dreams continuing a long time; troubling patient.

Passiflora in.- Restless and wakeful, resulting from exhaustion. Especially in the feeble, infants and the aged. Insomnia of infants and the aged and the mentally worried, and overworked with tendency to convulsions. Nocturnal cough.

Valeriana off.- Sleepless with nightly itching and muscular spasms. Worse on waking.

Advice: In general nervous exhaustion, the simultaneous use of Alfavena malt will give best results.

It is effective in septic Haemorrhages, Gangrene, Stomatitis, offensive carrion-like Diarrhoea, Dysentery, adynamic or Typhoid conditions, incontinence of urine, Urticaria, predisposition of Epistaxis in children, dizziness and vertigo from sleeplessness.

GENERAL PRESENTATION

• Face: Grey coloured skin like ash around the chin, temples or over the whole face, point to an acute depletion due to exhausting stress, pressure to perform and burn-out-syndrome. A chronic depletion can be recognized on sunken temples and tarnished eyes, bad breath and craving for nuts.
• State of tongue: Stale, brownish-mustard like taste. Dry in the morning.
• Discharges: Blood thin, black, offensive odour. Burning scalding. Dysentry with pure blood, stools- offensive odour.
• Aggravations: Noise, being alone, exertion, cold.
• Ameliorations: Cheerful excitement, gentle motion, rest, heat.
