Borax: Borax is for the homoeopathic purpose in the peculiar nervous affections of children where the child has a very characteristic dread of downward motion. It is highly indicated in the aphthous ulceration of mucous membrane. It is also used locally in pruritus pudenda and helps restoring the voice in cases of sudden hoarseness caused by cold exposure. Borax is also used for the symptoms arising from gastro-intestinal irritation. Over sensitiveness to sudden noises is also a key note prescription for Borax. Mouth aphthae are extensively treated with Borax and it is efficacious in conditions where white fungus like growth occurs in mouth. A very important drug in the treatment of dysmenorrhoea. Various other gynaecological conditions like galactorrhoea, mastalgia, leucorrhoea (like white of an egg), metrorrhagia can be treated well with Borax. Pleurodynia in the right chest when coupled with other symptoms like stitching pain in the chest, cough with a mouldy taste and breathlessness can call for the employment of Borax. |
