The renal system, also known as the urinary system, is responsible for filtering waste products from the blood and excreting them in the urine. It also helps to regulate blood pressure, fluid balance, and electrolyte levels.

The kidneys are two bean-shaped organs that are located in the lower back, on either side of the spine. Each kidney is about the size of a fist. The kidneys contain millions of tiny filtering units called nephrons.

Nephrons work by filtering waste products from the blood and creating urine. Urine is a liquid that contains waste products, excess water, and electrolytes.

Renal issues can vary in severity, ranging from minor urinary tract infections to more serious conditions such as fluid-filled sacs (cysts), tumors, and kidney stones (Calculi). If left untreated, these conditions can progress to renal failure, which can ultimately result in death.

Action of Ingredients:

Berberis vulgaris : Berberis vulgaris, commonly known as barberry, is a plant native to Europe, Asia, and Africa. Its root bark is primarily used in herbal medicine for treating urinary-related issues.

Berberis vulgaris exerts its effects on the urinary system through its anti-inflammatory and diuretic properties. It helps relieve burning pain during urination by reducing inflammation in the urinary tract. The presence of thick mucus and bright red sediment in urine is also alleviated due to its diuretic action, which can flush out irritants and sediment from the urinary system. Additionally, it helps alleviate pain in the bladder region, reducing inflammation and promoting urine flow.

Cantharis : Cantharis, also known as Spanish fly, is a blister beetle native to southern Europe.

Cantharis is indicated for urinary problems characterized by intolerable urging and tenesmus during urination. It primarily acts as a strong irritant to the urinary tract, causing intense but controlled irritation that can help control the desire to urinate. The cutting pain experienced before, during, and after urination is alleviated by this compound. Cantharis stimulates the bladder and urethra, making it easier to pass urine and reducing the sensation of urgency.

Acidum oxalicum: Acidum oxalicum, or oxalic acid, is a naturally occurring compound found in various plants and vegetables, including rhubarb and spinach.

It is useful for treating urinary symptoms such as frequent and copious urination accompanied by burning pain in the urethra and glans. The acidic nature of oxalic acid eases the burning sensation. It works by reducing inflammation and irritation in the urinary tract, making urination more comfortable. It also influences the production and composition of urine, addressing excessive urination.

Ocimum canum : Ocimum canum, also known as African basil or wild basil, is a herbaceous plant found in various parts of Africa and Asia.

Senecio aureus: Senecio aureus, also known as golden ragwort or squaw weed, is indicated when urine is scanty, bloody, and contains mucus, along with tenesmus (straining during urination). It is particularly effective in cases of nephritis (inflammation of the kidneys) and severe pain that occurs when a kidney stone blocks the urinary tract (renal colic). Senecio aureus works by addressing inflammation and irritation in the urinary tract. Its action can help alleviate the discomfort associated with nephritis and relieve the symptoms of kidney pain (renal colic).
